Winery "La Gatta" Triacca in Valtellina: history meets wine art!
Built in the far '500 as a Dominican Convent was for years the residence of the noble family de Gatti, from which it derives its name and, later, property of the Mascioni family.
Since 1969 the Tenuta La Gatta has belonged to the Triacca family which has transformed it into a favourite destination for many wine-lovers.
The production territory of Valtellina Superiore with Denomination of Controlled Origin (DOC/DOCG) includes about 800 hectares located on the Rhaetian side of Valtellina.
Nebbiolo dominates all the cultivated vines. With an average harvest of 600 g/m2 4.5 million bottles are produced annually.
